Static Line Jumps

This is a method of training were your parachute is attached to a strong point
inside the aircraft. As you leave the aircraft your parachute is deployed
automatically. Your preliminary jumps will be from an exit altitude of 3500ft.
The first jump course starts you off with a day’s ground school. You are taught
all the necessary skills from aircraft exit to parachute landings along with all
the associated emergency procedures, allowing you to jump from 3,500ft on your
own the very same day !
After the initial course you may choose to continue onto a full RAPS course (Ram
Air Progression System). See the pricelist for
jump prices.
After your initial 6 jumps (minimum) on a static line. You will progress
onto true freefall. By jump number 17 of the RAPS training program you
could be qualified to jump from 12 000 feet by yourself. As always,
British weather can affect the RAPS training programme.
